This product is ethically made by small-scale, female-led, women artisans in Delhi, India, using recycled silk nylon threads from sari fabric. A UK-based, small, woman-owned organisation supplies these handmade earrings to Atelier Ana and ensures ethical standards are met.
Founder Jennifer Georgeson's mission is to raise women – the handcrafting artisans - and their families out of poverty while ensuring that ethically-sourced and sustainable products are accessible to all. The business makes sure artisans are being paid a living wage while ensuring access to an international market, a safe workplace free from hazards, no child labour, Fair Trade Standards (WFTO), access to health care centres, and fairer prices for their goods.

All Atelier Ana earrings are shipped in beautiful eco-packaging:
-Recycled and recyclable Atelier Ana-branded cardboard postage box (no plastic bag)
-Recycled and recyclable tissue paper
-No sticker (so the tissue paper doesn't tear and can be re-used)
-A Fairtrade cotton jewellery pouch
-Re-usable handmade gold-coloured teardrop paper clips, to hold everything in place
-A recycled and recyclable business card
-Even our small-as-possible postage label is recycled paper
-If you choose to add preserved rose petals as a gift option, these will eventually biodegrade after about two years, but in the meantime can be re-used as a beautiful table decoration or re-gifted.
-Order details are sent on email to the purchaser to cut paper waste, which means that gifts contain no pricing information

All Atelier Ana orders aim to be shipped within 1-2 working days.
UK standard eco-packaging and shipping is £3.50 and we send by Royal Mail. It is free on orders over £55.
For faster delivery times, there are options at checkout for courier services or Royal Mail next-day delivery.
We send packages in 'large letter'-sized recycled boxes, rather than parcels, to ensure they have as small a 'footprint' on the environment as possible.
If more than one earring pair is purchased without adding the 'gift' option, they will all be shipped together in one branded package to cut waste and tread as lightly as possible on our planet.
We do not currently ship outside the UK but we hope this is something we can set up shortly.
